Backstory:
It was the third year of the apocalypse and contrary to what everyone had expected, the dead still walked the Earth. Survivor communities grew smaller and fewer with each passing year as they slowly succumbed to hordes of walkers or fell prey to the ever-growing gangs of criminals who roamed the land.
Still, among the darkness of it all, every now and then hope emerged and stories of safe havens circulated the surviving communities. One of these stories was about the town of Ely. According to whispers, Ely was sparsely populated with a small survivor community that had managed to establish a trading system of sorts in relative safety. The people of Ely built a Market to trade their goods at and supposedly even the Duke's personal trader Joe had moved into town to do business.
Desperate families of survivors started the perilous journey towards Ely in the hopes of finding a safe place and perhaps one day even living, instead of merely surviving.
